WHOLE BODY MYO
Combines Craniosacral Fascial Therapy with Myofunctional Therapy for a Tongue to Foot approach to whole body wellness!
Craniosacral Fascial Therapy
What Is CFT?
Craniosacral Fascial Therapy, is a gentle blend of Craniosacral Therapy and Myofascial Release techniques developed by Dr. Barry Gillespie of “The Gillespie Approach.” Designed to unwind and release accumulated fascial (connective tissue) strain. Which can be caused by birth trauma, accidents, and emotional stresses over time. This can have an impact on brain function, development, sleeping, feeding, and digestion to name a few.
Four Goals of Myofunctional Therapy
What Is Myofunctional Therapy?
Myofunctional Therapy, is the assessment and retraining of the muscles of the face, mouth, and tongue to improve how they work together. The way we breathe, chew, swallow, and position our tongue at rest has a profound impact on airway health, sleep, facial development,
jaw pain, and chronic fatigue.
● Tongue Thrust
● Tongue Ties
● Sleep Disordered Breathing
● Mouth Breathing
● TMD (temporal mandibular dysfunction)
Connecting The Dots:
Low tongue posture can directly impact the alignment of the entire body. Affecting head and facial development, forward head posture, rounding of shoulders and upper back; leading to poor posture and back pain.
If you are ready to begin your healing journey, we are currently accepting appointments for children ages 5 through teens and adults.
Sessions are available in office for bodywork and virtually or in person for myofunctional therapy.
